As the project hits the homestretch toward a September opening, crews are racing to finish interiors and deliver within an ambitious two-year construction schedule. Cettina says the soils, like most of Long Island, are sandy and the water level is about 30 ft below grade. Above the concrete structure, steel columns extend three floors to the roof and the canopy, which is also structural steel. Throughout the project, the team collaborated regularly to find ways to save time and money on the project. The project is working under a project labor agreement with most trades coming from Nassau County.
