The tree has tumbled into the road at Five Lane Ends roundabout, in Idle, between the junctions of Wrose Road and Highfield Road this evening. Part of the tree and its foliage was blocking off the outer lane of the roundabout in that area. There was a Highways Maintenance vehicle at the scene, while a man could be heard using a chainsaw to cut the tree into smaller pieces and remove the obstruction. A pile of logs began to build on the pathway at the side of the roundabout.
