The highly anticipated Future Ruins Festival, scheduled to bring together music composers and film lovers on Nov. 8, has been canceled. “Unfortunately Future Ruins will not move forward this year,” organizers said in a statement. The lineup featured Danny Elfman, John Carpenter, Questlove, Mark Mothersbaugh, and more, in a setting that aimed to reimagine their work for a live audience. The band is also scheduled to perform at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, as Nine Inch Noize, with electronic music producer and collaborator Boys Noize. The set is expected to be a blend of the band’s sound with dark electronic music, featured in their recent live shows.
