Have you ever thought it might be fun to see the world’s most perfect moustache? Well, in Petaluma, truly excellent hair could be right under your nose. The only way to know for sure is to grab a ticket – or register right away – and go get in line for this weekend’s Bill Soberanes Memorial Whiskerino Beard and Mustache competition. Beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Phoenix Theater, the hair-larious annual celebration of beard grooming and moustache sculpting returns to Petaluma, for a head-scratching afternoon of outrageous face-forward exhibitionism and whisker-based dress-up fun. Live music will be performed by the local rock band Redwood Chrome, with cocktail specials and great food courtesy of Preacher’s Po’ Boys.
