Both LNG sales and hydrocarbon production declined at TotalEnergies during the second quarter due to conflict in the Middle East that has impacted its assets in the region. TotalEnergies holds interests in Qatari liquefaction capacity at the Ras Laffen complex of terminals that has been shuttered since the Iran war started earlier this year. The company also expects its average LNG sale price to increase if crude prices remain high and oil-linked LNG costs climb with them. Even still, TotalEnergies reported consolidated second quarter net income of $5.5 billion, compared to $2.7 billion in the year-ago period.
