An Okanagan College student has helped develop a non-alcoholic beverage recipe selected for potential commercial production following a work-integrated learning placement at the BC Beverage Technology Access Centre in Penticton. Alves's recipe came out on top, being chosen by Glimmer Wine founder Janet Helou for further refinement and potential commercialization. She described the Penticton-based research facility as a world-class resource that helps local beverage companies reduce development time and bring products to market faster. The BC BTAC is the only beverage technology access centre in British Columbia and supports research and development for wineries, breweries, cideries and emerging beverage companies across the province.
