Kelowna city planners are in support of a 100-unit apartment building going before council next week. On Monday, Kelowna council will consider an application to rezone the property to the downtown urban centre rental only zone. Kelowna council, however, have recently grown cool to developer incentives for rental developments as vacancy rates have soared past six per cent. Also Monday, Kelowna council will consider granting a development permit to a 233-unit, six-storey apartment building at 435 Sutton Crescent in Glenmore.
