(Statewide) – The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) says there are 684 cases of Hoosiers infected with the Cyclosporiasis parasite. Four of those are in our area: three have been reported in Ripley, with another in Dearborn County. Three hundred and seventy-six (55%) of the cases are female; 308 (45%) are male. The FDA recently announced a sample of lettuce from Taylor Farms tested positive for Cyclospora, but later said the result was a “false positive.” You can find more details on the IDOH website.
