It comes after an explosion in the value of Mr Chey's wealth because of the artificial intelligence boom. Mr Chey is the chairman of SK Group, a South Korean conglomerate that includes chip-maker SK Hynix. It is the largest divorce payout in South Korea's history. Mr Chey announced in 2015 that he was divorcing Ms Roh, the daughter of Roh Tae-woo, South Korea's first democratically-elected president.
