The Welsh First Minister said he has a “Celtic alliance” with his counterpart in Scotland, as he visited Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. Prif Weinidog, Rhun ap Iorwerth, said: "Pleased to meet with new UK Prime Minister @andyburnham in Glasgow today. Asked about the relationship between nationalist parties in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, he said: “I think we have a Celtic alliance. The Prime Minister met both first ministers in Glasgow before they all attended the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games at the Hydro arena. “The Prime Minister said he wanted an open and ongoing dialogue with the First Minister on the issues that matter most across Wales.
