Nova Scotia Liberal Leadership candidate Amanda Mombourquette, who has been travelling the province campaigning, made a stop at her home turf of St. Peter’s Wednesday night for a celebration event. Mombourquette announced her candidacy for the leadership in June, around the same time as the Cheticamp-Margarees-Pleasant Bay by-election. She says rather than draw resources from the by-election, a soft launch to her campaign was held then. A celebration event for her campaign was held Wednesday night in St. Peter’s. Mombourquette says she is a pro-business candidate, believing economic development will allow the province to invest back in key areas like education and health care.
