Kirkcaldy’s K107FM has introduced a Community Engagement and Volunteer Training Co-ordinator role to expand its outreach and support across the town and Fife. As a registered Scottish charity, K107FM says it wants to increase its commitment to community benefit and social gain by widening participation in its activities. The part-time role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of extension depending on future funding. Demonstrating community impact and volunteer development will be key to sustaining the position in the long term. Jayne said community radio is vital to local life and believes the new role will help the station grow its reach and create more opportunities for involvement.
