Jammu Kashmir Govt Elevates Junior Engineers as In-charge Assistant Engineers

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has promoted 53 Junior Engineers (Electrical) as In-charge Assistant Engineers (Electrical) on an officiating basis and simultaneously ordered 74 transfers and postings across the Power Development Department (PDD) in a major administrative reshuffle aimed at filling key vacancies and streamlining field operations.
According to the order, all promoted officers will continue in their own pay and grade and will receive admissible charge allowances.
The government promoted 36 degree-holder Junior Engineers and 17 diploma-holder Junior Engineers as In-charge Assistant Engineers.
Following the promotions, the department issued a detailed transfer and posting order covering 74 officers across the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC), Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL), and on deputation to other government departments.
The reshuffle also involves several serving In-charge Assistant Engineers.
