Seeing a tram heading the wrong way through Croydon town centre might normally be a sign that something has gone very wrong. The unusual sight was part of a planned test ahead of a partial closure of the London Trams network for engineering works next month. The successful trial gives London Trams much greater flexibility during the engineering works. The tram closure detailsTfL needs to carry out track replacement works on the Croydon loop. Five tram stops (Centrale, Church Street, George Street, Wellesley Road and West Croydon) will be closed while the work takes place.
