Devon RCMP is reminding the public to understand the rules and regulations that apply to small vehicles operating on Alberta roads, pathways, and public spaces. Operators require a valid driver’s licence, registration, and insurance. Operators do not require a driver’s licence, registration, or insurance. Off-highway vehicles (OHVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs): These vehicles are generally not permitted on public roadways or in ditches unless specifically authorized. RCMP encourage all vehicle operators to review the laws that apply to their mode of transportation and to always prioritize safe and responsible operation.
