George Albert Johnson, Sr., age 96, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born on October 22, 1929 in Chicago, the son of Axel and Jesse Johnson. In recognition of his honorable service, he was awarded the Korean Service Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars. Following his military service, George dedicated many years of his career as a driver for the City of Chicago. He is survived by his son George Johnson, Jr. of Three Rivers.
