The Government of Belize the Belize City Council and Taiwan are proud to jointly unveil the new design for the Belcan Bridge as part of the transformative Belcan Bridge Replacement Project. The project is being made possible through grant funding provided by the Republic of China (Taiwan), reflecting the strong and enduring friendship between Belize and Taiwan. The Belize City Council, through the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government, will serve as the local implementing partner along with key government agencies and technical teams, overseeing the execution of the project. The unveiling of the new Belcan Bridge design marks the beginning of a new chapter in Belize’s urban infrastructure. Together, the Government of Belize, the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Belize City Council reaffirm their commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Belizeans through sustainable and inclusive development.
