On Wednesday afternoon, a significant narcotics arrest was made on U.S. 24 by Defiance police and the Ohio Highway State Patrol. At around 2:36 p.m., city officers and the Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Route 24 after a vehicle was recognized by the Flock Safety camera system as being connected to an ongoing missing person investigation, according to a police department media release. A K-9 unit was called in during the stop and informed that drugs were inside the car.
