E-scooters were involved in 241 traffic accidents across the UAE over the past four years, according to a report from the Ministry of Interior. Authorities are again urging riders to follow traffic rules and use only approved routes. The trend continued in 2025, when 120 e-scooter accidents were reported across the UAE, the highest yearly total in the four-year period. The Ministry said rules for scooter use have been in place since these vehicles were introduced in the UAE. Traffic authorities across the country continue to run awareness campaigns.
