On October 15th, the U.S. Supreme Court will rehear a case that could upend a key provision of the Voting Rights Act. So there had been almost no lawsuits on minority voting rights that went to the Supreme Court over the 20th century. Because it was a mere 15 years after the Voting Rights Act that the Voting Rights Act was challenged, that it was, excuse me, today's Friday, professor, you gotta forgive me. So the voting right forces knew that the Congress had to act on Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
