Workers last week were installing artificial turf designed to accommodate two full-sized football and soccer fields. The former Parkside school was demolished in 2022-2023, making way for the athletic fields. “A normal artificial turf field has crumb rubber, which is black. In addition to the athletic fields, the complex includes a new playground, a picnic shelter and a combined concession stand and restroom facility to serve visitors and participants.
