The demonstration was conducted by the Chinook Role Demo Team, the unit responsible for showing the public some of the aircraft’s main roles. The footage shows the Chinook performing low-altitude maneuvers and carrying an external load suspended by cables beneath the fuselage. According to the post, the demonstration also represented the transport of military personnel and equipment inside the internal cargo compartment. This flexibility allows the helicopter to be configured according to the requirements of each operation, combining internal and external loads. While the crew keeps the aircraft stable, the operators monitor the load’s behavior and guide corrections to reduce swinging during transport.
