Solon High School students and recent graduates were celebrated for earning national academic distinctions, including 100 National Merit and Recognition honorees and 453 AP Scholars. Solon SchoolsSOLON, Ohio — Solon High School is celebrating another year of academic excellence, with 100 seniors earning national recognition from the College Board through the 2026 National Merit Scholarship and National Recognition Programs. This year, 23 students were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists and 29 were commended scholars — placing Solon among the top schools in Ohio. This year, Solon students completed 1,929 AP exams across 31 subjects, earning qualifying scores on 92 percent of them. The recognitions include 21 AP Capstone Diplomas, 251 AP Scholars with Distinction, 72 AP Scholars with Honor, 107 AP Scholars, and two AP Seminar and Research Certificates.
