An inmate is back in the Tuscaloosa County Jail after a short-lived escape Thursday evening. A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Thread that a jail inmate briefly escaped custody through the Sally Port, the area where detention deputies load and offload inmates.
