At their July 9 meeting, the Selectmen had their first read for the road closure request. The road closure was separate from the special event permit; the Board of selectmen voted 3-0 to approve it. Separately, work has been ongoing on the parking deck at Hamilton Avenue School, starting in summer 2025 and continuing in 2026. It turns out the work on the parking deck is not yet completed. “Greenwich Public Schools is trying to complete the work on the parking deck before the feast,” said Greenwich Schools communications director Jonathan Supranowitz on Thursday.
