Civic Alert from Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo:Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo and local elected leaders are calling upon the State of Connecticut to place an immediate moratorium on zoning mandates for all municipalities. This comes after First Selectman Camillo recently discovered that Connecticut Natural Gas does not have the infrastructure to meet the demands of new and expanded housing in Greenwich. First Selectman Camillo is also working on finalizing details of a public forum with CNG, Aquarion and Eversource in September at Greenwich Town Hall. “The burdensome housing mandates that have been placed throughout the State of Connecticut have now taxed our infrastructure to the point that we can no longer keep up,” First Selectman Camillo said. A moratorium on zoning mandates throughout the State of Connecticut is immediately needed so work can be done to improve infrastructure and better meet the demand in the State.”
