Al-Jawf — Fierce armed clashes erupted Thursday in Al-Marashi district of Al-Jawf province between a Houthi security campaign and tribesmen from Al-Jazilan, resulting in casualties on both sides and the destruction of several militia vehicles, according to local sources. Witnesses said the Houthi forces launched the campaign targeting Al-Jazilan of the Dhu Musa tribe, attempting to demolish a house with its occupants inside. The situation quickly escalated into violent confrontations involving heavy weapons, spreading across wider areas of the district. Sources confirmed that several Houthi security vehicles were set ablaze during the fighting. Al-Marashi district has long been a flashpoint of tension, with recurring disputes between Houthi forces and local tribes.
