Kuwait’s Armed Forces announced Thursday that its air defense systems are currently intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks, describing the incident as an “aggressive Iranian assault.” In a statement, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said that any explosions heard across several areas were the result of defense systems intercepting incoming threats. Authorities urged citizens and residents to strictly follow safety instructions issued by official agencies. Earlier Thursday, the army confirmed that its air defenses had already repelled waves of missile and drone strikes, noting that the blasts reported in multiple districts were caused by interception operations. The military stressed that it remains in full readiness to protect Kuwait’s sovereignty and ensure the safety of its population amid escalating regional tensions.
