Taufa Funaki Re-Signs With Blues Through 2028Dynamic halfback Taufa Funaki has re-signed with the Blues through to the end of the 2028 DHL Super Rugby Pacific season. A proud East Auckland product and Sacred Heart College graduate, Funaki has become one a consistent performer since making his Blues debut in 2022. Funaki enjoyed a breakout 2024 campaign, scoring five tries in 13 appearances as the Blues claimed the Super Rugby Pacific title. Blues GM Rugby Murray Williams said securing Funaki was an important signing for the club. “Taufa has developed into a well-respected leader among his peers and we’re pleased he’ll remain with us for another two seasons,” Williams said.
