A vehicle that was in auto-pilot mode struck a road closed barricade on US 224 in Hancock County Wednesday morning.
According to the report from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Bradford Smith, of Fremont, was operating the vehicle east on 224.
The Tesla Model Plaid was in the auto-pilot mode, which was explained as one function below full automation.
The vehicle continued on and struck the portable barricade, resulting in functional damage.
He was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
