NAHANT — The town is encouraging community members to partake in the Lynnway Multimodal Corridor project public forum at Town Hall on Oct. 9. Lasting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., it will be a chance for the community to learn more about the Lynnway project. Owned and operated by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the Lynnway is the main connector of the town through the Lynnway rotary and Nahant Road. Currently, the Lynnway is a six- or seven-lane thoroughfare and primarily a motor-vehicle route, creating challenges for pedestrians, cyclists, and bus riders. In the past, previous public forums regarding Lynnway projects have helped staff receive feedback on potential impacts to residents and the community.
