The 2026 Canadian Sport School Hockey League Western Championships generated a record $7.8 million in economic impact for Penticton, according to event organizers and the City of Penticton. The estimated economic impact was $1.1 million higher than the 2025 event, based on the Sport Tourism Economic Assessment Model developed by Sport Tourism Canada. “We are proud to support events like the CSSHL Western Championships that strengthen our economy, celebrate youth sport and create lasting connections to Penticton.”
