Nikki Csek, CEO and co-founder of KelownaNow parent company Csek Creative, has announced her intention to run for a seat on Kelowna city council in this fall's municipal election. Over the coming weeks, Csek says she will be releasing her platform and meeting with residents, business leaders, community organizations and stakeholders across Kelowna to help shape her campaign platform. Csek said she has no intention of giving up her role as CEO of Csek Creative if elected, and will remain a shareholder in the company, which also operates local news outlet KelownaNow. I'm very involved," she said, adding the company's newsroom operates independently and will continue to do so.
