In an update Thursday afternoon, the Ministry of Transportation and Transit said the Coquihalla Highway remains the only open major route into the southern Interior. The closure is in effect between Alexandra Bridge, about 44 kilometres north of Hope, and Jackass Summit south of Lytton. With both major highways closed, the Coquihalla Highway is currently the only available route connecting the Fraser Valley with B.C.
