TYRONE’S performances in the All-Ireland Championship have pushed them up to third in the Ulster pecking order in Aaron Kernan’s view. The win sent Tyrone straight to the All-Ireland quarter-final stage where they faced defending champions Kerry. “Realistically, you’d probably say Tyrone are third now,” said the four-time Armagh Ulster Championship winner who is now part of the Meath management. The highlight of the season for Tyrone was their win over a Mayo side that has gone on to Sunday’s All-Ireland final against Kerry. “Ulster will be another minefield and Derry will be looking to bounce back as well so we’ll see how it goes but at the minute I’d probably have Tyrone just behind Armagh and Donegal.
