Reminder: Deadline for State Fair creative arts entries registration is next week. It’s mid-July, we’re sweating everywhere, and the World Cup just ended, so it must be time to start talking about the State Fair of Texas. Fair officials would like to remind you that if you’re a canner, sewer, artist of some kind, home cook or baker, etc., the deadline to register to participate in the creative arts contests at the Fair is July 27 via mail. You can hand deliver items to the Creative Arts building in Fair Park July 31 through August 2. Ribbon-winning entries will be displayed at the Fair, which will run from September 25 to October 18.
