Two gardaí have been taken to hospital after becoming unwell while handling seized vapes. Edenderry Garda Station was sealed off yesterday afternoon after two members of the force became ill while carrying out a count of seized drugs and cannabis vape products. It’s understood THC oil may have leaked from some of the devices and reacted with their lithium batteries, although the exact cause has yet to be established. The building, which is not staffed on a 24-hour basis, will remain closed today while a deep clean is carried out.
