A joint police operation led by the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit has resulted in drug-trafficking and weapons charges against an Edmonton man. Article contentDuring the searches, officers seized 755 grams of suspected cocaine, 621 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 20.75 litres of suspected GHB, 40 rounds of ammunition, a crossbow, $4,190 in Canadian currency, and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. The seizure comes amid continued efforts by police agencies to disrupt drug trafficking in Alberta. Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams said this month the agency has surpassed $1 billion in total drug seizures since its creation in 2006.
