With summer in its final stretch, it’s almost time for the return of Chalk the Block in downtown St. Joseph. They’ll have both local and traveling artists decorating the sidewalks and streets. Chalk the Block will run from Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2 and Crevier says people can watch the artists in action. In addition to the art on the street, Crevier says eight artists will create masterpieces on 8×8 vertical panels Thursday, July 30 through Friday, July 31, leading up to Chalk the Block. Crevier says Chalk the Block is one of downtown St. Joseph’s biggest summer events, so everyone’s invited to head downtown and feast their eyes on some truly impressive art.
