Last week, the Leadville Race Series received the green light to move forward with its final four events of the summer amidst the ongoing Willow Fire, starting with the three-day mountain bike stage race beginning Friday morning. On Wednesday, the series unveiled an adjusted course for this weekend’s stage race. Sam and Dan McGehee traveled up from Arizona to compete in the Leadville Stage Race, a three-day mountain bike event beginning this weekend. The race series is still working with local permitting agencies on courses for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB on Aug. 15. With Thursday evening’s rain increasing, Dan McGehee pumped his tires up for a shakeout ride before packet pickup officially opened.
