The Steamboat Art Museum is partnering with Blue Skies Nursing for its August Memory Café on Monday, Aug. 3 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the museum (807 Lincoln Avenue), according to a Wednesday news release. Guests will explore the museum’s current exhibition, “Oil Painters of America’s 35th National Exhibition,” before creating their own watercolor painting inspired by their favorite piece from the galleries or a still-life arrangement. An artist will be in attendance to prove guidance, and all supplies are included, with no experience necessary. Water will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring snacks. The Memory Café is open to older adults and caregivers throughout Routt County, who are invited to experience an afternoon of inspiration, creativity and connection through art.
