Ben McOwen Wilson will become Chief Executive Officer of PRS for Music on 12 October. His appointment follows an international search by the PRS Members’ Council and comes as AI, digital platforms, gaming and changing patterns of music consumption create new challenges for music rights organisations. Ben has more than 25 years of experience across media, technology and the creative industries. He has also worked with government and industry through the Creative Industries Council and Creative Industries Federation, covering intellectual property, innovation and economic growth. Julian Nott, Chair of the PRS Members’ Council, said Ben understands both the technologies affecting creative industries and the need for innovation to work for creators.
