Following heavy losses in northern Kachin State, the Myanmar military has dispatched a six-truck convoy carrying nearly 200 soldiers, weapons, and supplies to reinforce its positions in Khaunglanhpu Township, according to local sources. The reinforcements departed on July 17 from Infantry Battalion 46 (IB 46) headquarters in Putao Township. According to residents, the convoy included four trucks packed with troops—many reportedly deployed from lower Myanmar—and two loaded with ammunition, military drones, and rations. "The junta suffered heavy losses in the recent clashes, prompting them to rush troops and equipment from the Putao base to Khaunglanhpu," a resident close to IB 46 told the Kachin News Group. Travel in the rugged terrain of northern Kachin State remains a logistical challenge.
