The South West is expected to finally see some much-needed rainfall this weekend following a prolonged period of hot and dry weather over the last few weeks. A Met Office map indicates a wall of rainfall will pass over Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire during the early hours of Sunday (July 26). Areas likely to see rain include parts of Minehead, Taunton and Bath. 4am on Sunday (July 26): By this time, most of Bristol and Somerset is expected to be hit with rain, alongside several areas in Gloucestershire including Gloucester and Dursley. 10am on Sunday (July 26): Parts of Taunton, Dulverton and Weston-super-Mare could see some localised downpours but the rest of the region will begin drying up by this time.
