Through collaboration with the Nebraska-based company ALA Engineering, the university integrated of autonomous feeding truck use into the feedlot.
This led to the development of autonomous feed truck technology to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Looking to the future, autonomous technologies are expected to have a notable impact on agriculture.
Hansen noted that vision systems are making a huge impact, and over the next decade he anticipates seeing more niche solutions, like autonomous feed trucks, making big impacts.
