Trade union leaders from more than 50 UNI Global Union affiliates in 42 countries will gather in Bangkok from 23–25 September for the UNI Post & Logistics World Conference. Since the last conference in 2021, the transformation of the sector has accelerated. In 2024, Denmark became the first country to completely abandon postal service after 400 years of operation, a warning for what could happen elsewhere if unions and communities do not act. UNI Head of Post & Logistics, Cornelia Berger, said:“It’s been nearly a decade since we met altogether in person. I’m very much looking forward to rising together in Bangkok, to strengthen our unity to tackle the challenges ahead.”
