A new local non-profit organization known as Feed the North has been created to help with the issue of food insecurity for school-aged children. According to Feed the North director, Mike Panagapka “the primary goal of Feed the North is to relieve food insecurity for school aged children by subsidizing breakfast programs, snack programs and or lunch programs within schools within our area benefiting individuals in need. It is worth mentioning that our schools have different programs, some requiring more assistance and some less.” The organization has announced that they will hold two Feed the North concerts at the Northern College Auditorium on Oct 23 and 24. In addition, Paige Proulx, Jessica Huot, Zachary Mauno, Daryl and Dave Rodgers will also take the stage.
