A food service company has notified Missouri state regulators that there has been a sudden mass layoff of workers after they lost a contract with a school district.
I received a bulletin from the Missouri Jobs site today that they had received a WARN notice from Chartwells which provided food service for the Parkway School District in Chesterfield.

Here's a statement given to the state about why this mass layoff has happened:"Chartwells was just notified that its food service management contract with Parkway School District (“School District”) will not be renewed for the upcoming academic year.
