Judith Butler is one of the world’s leading scholars and philosophers on issues of gender, sexuality, and the cultural phenomena that surround them. And I don’t know all the reasons for this, but this is who I am. So I don’t think we’re totally voluntaristic, like I can be anything, nor do I think we’re totally determined. That is to say, women can be all kinds of things, and we need to allow the category of women to be expansive. Now, you could say “gender,” or “woke,” or “DEI”—that these are the things that are destroying our lives.
