Dierks School Board Approves Handbook Changes for New School YearThe Dierks School Board met in regular session Tuesday, approving student handbook changes for the upcoming school year and a staff stipend. JoAnn Walters Elementary School Principal Beth Shelton outlined several changes for elementary students. Dierks High School Principal Paul Ernest reviewed revisions to the high school’s academic policies and grading system. Following the presentations, board members approved the handbook changes for both JoAnn Walters Elementary School and Dierks High School. In other business, the board approved a $600 stipend for Shasati Parsons to serve as the district’s Medicaid coordinator.
